NFS server (HPA) for config files

From Lsdf

The directory on the HPSS servers where configuration files are kept is: /opt/hpa Changing the to this directory will trigger the automounter to mount the respective share from the central admin host ( If no process uses the mountpoint, the share is unmounted after 3 minutes.

Configuration on the HPA server (

  • the directory for the config files was created: /export/hpa
  • The file /etc/exports was modified:
  • nfs-utils was updated with yum
  • nfs was started with systemctl start nfs.service

Configuration on the HPSS nodes (NFS clients)

  • autofs was installed
   yum install autofs

   cd /tmp
wget wget
rpm -ivh hesiod-3.1.0-19.el6.x86_64.rpm rpm -ivh autofs-5.0.5-73.el6.x86_64.rpm

following files are adapted:

 /opt /etc/auto.hpa

 hpa -fstype=nfs4

Starting autofs - /etc/init.d/autofs start

nfs clients can now automount /opt/hpa (uses the nfs v4 protocol)

 cd /opt/hpa
