The GPFS Cluster serves GPFS clients, NFS and SMB for direct access by a select number of users as well as for the top level services iRODS, HADOOP and GridFTP.
Overview
The following nodes are currently in the GPFS cluster (up to date information via the command mmlscluster on on of the nodes):
ddf-s-001 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-002 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-003 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-004 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-005 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-006 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-007 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) ddf-s-008 / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) hph-s-001 / Scientific Linux SL release 5.5 (Boron) hph-s-002 / Scientific Linux SL release 5.5 (Boron) sif-s-01.lsdf.kit.edu / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) sif-s-02.lsdf.kit.edu / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) sif-s-03.lsdf.kit.edu / Scientific Linux release 6.4 (Carbon) gpilsdf / Scientific Linux SL release 5.5 (Boron)
Configuration
These nodes are all under control of cfengine.
Master cfengine files for system configuration are located on ics.lsdf.kit.edu in directory /etc/cfengine/masterfiles/.
User Administration
Master files for user administration are located on ics.lsdf.kit.edu in /var/local/useradm. Here you will find a README containing specfic details. Basically the contents of the files in /var/local/useradm are entered in a DB. The DB is then send to the various nodes und control of cfengine.
